Note: Do not attempt to remove the steering wheel on vehicles equipped with an air bag protection system.
1. Remove the horn button from the steering wheel (photo).
2. Disconnect the horn wiring, remove the key (photo).
3. Set the front wheel straight ahead and the turn signal lever to neutral position.
4. Mark the position of the steering wheel and inner column relative to each other, then loosen and remove the lock nut and washer.
5. Remove the steering wheel from the inner column grooves.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Align the previously made marks, tighten the nut with the tightening force specified Specification. Make sure the turn signal lever is in the neutral position, otherwise the switch lever may be damaged.
