Removal
Warning: Before removing the airbag unit, be sure to take appropriate safety precautions.
1. Remove the airbag unit, refer to subsection Removal and installation the airbag unit.
2. Set the wheels straight ahead and the steering wheel to the center position.
3. Mark the position of the steering wheel in relation to the steering shaft with paint or a scriber.

4. Disconnect the steering wheel –1– and remove it from the steering shaft.
5. Do not change the position of the steering column (straight wheel position).
Installation
1. Place the steering wheel on the splined shaft joint so that the previously applied markings match.
Warning: When installing the steering wheel, the steering wheels must be straight and the turn signal switch must be in the center position.
2. Secure the steering wheel to the thread. Tighten the internal toothed screw –2– to 60 Nm. If there is a hexagonal screw –1–, tighten it to 75 Nm.
3. Reinstall the airbag unit, refer to subsection Removal and installation the airbag unit.
4. Drive the car and check the position of the steering wheel when driving straight ahead. The steering wheel spokes should be horizontal.
5. If the steering wheel is crooked, remove it and reposition it. Check the front track if necessary (work of the service station).
6. Check the horn and return of the turn signal switch to its original position.
