1. Steering damper is used on models without power steering. It is attached between the tie rod suspension and the side of the engine compartment.
2. Steering damper repair is not possible. If the steering is sensitive to road shocks, remove the shock absorber and check its operation. The damper is attached with a bolt at each end.
3. To check the damper, move the rod manually in and out for the full travel. If the ride is not smooth and you don't feel uniform resistance, install a new shock absorber.
