1. With the engine running, turn the steering wheel to its maximum angle in one direction and leave it in this position to increase the pressure in the system.
2. Check all connections, repair leaks if necessary. Check steering gear seals. Remove the inner end of the rack cover from the steering gear, pull it back to get to the seal.
3. Turn the steering wheel to the maximum angle in the other direction and check for leaks again.
