Models with 4-cylinder engine
1. Jack up the front of the car.
2. Place a container under the pump, unscrew the bungee hose connections on the pump housing. Remove seal gaskets.
3. Unscrew the three bolts securing the pump pulley, remove the outer half of the pump pulley and remove the drive belt. Remove the shims and the inner half of the pulley.
4. Loosen the front and rear pump mounting bolts, move the hose holder hanger and remove the pump.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, replace the hydraulic gaskets of the pipeline coupling seal. Tighten all nuts and bolts to the torque specified in the Specifications, adjust the tension of the drive belt as described in Chapter 27. Fill and bleed the hydraulic system as described in Chapter 25.
Models with a 5-cylinder engine
6. Place a container under the pump, unscrew the three bungee hose connections on the pump body. Remove seal gaskets.
7. Remove the hose holder hanger, move the hoses to one side.
8. Loosen the drive belt adjuster, remove the belt from the pump pulley.
9. Remove the bolt securing the governor lever to the motor, remove the pump mounting bolt, lift the pump.
10. Installation is carried out in reverse order, replace the hydraulic gaskets of the pipeline coupling seal. Tighten all nuts and bolts to the torque specified in the Specifications, adjust the tension of the drive belt as described in Chapter 27. Fill and bleed the hydraulic system as described in Chapter 25.
