On all vehicle models, the ESP sensor unit -G419- is installed under the left seat. The ESP sensor unit -G419- is located under the front left seat. The arrow on the ESP sensor unit -G419- points in the direction of travel.
Remove the left seat. Bend back the fastening tongue of the mat. On vehicles where the mat tongue is not folded back, lift the tongue with a knife. Remove the air duct for blowing the space. for legs. Disconnect plug connector -2-. Unscrew the nuts securing the sensor block. Remove ESP sensor unit -G419- -1- upwards.
Installation
The arrow on the sensor block points in the direction of travel. Insert the ESP sensor unit -G419-1- into the mountings from above. When installing the ESP sensor -G419-, ensure that it fits correctly and freely on the mounting. Tighten the sensor block mounting nuts. Connect plug connector -2-. Install the air duct for blowing the space. for legs. Secure the mat using the tongue. Install the left seat. After replacing the ESP sensor unit -G419- a basic setting must be carried out (calibration) the following sensors: lateral acceleration sensor -G200-; Longitudinal acceleration sensor -G251- To do this, use tester -VAS 5051B- or -VAS 5052-.
