The type of brakes installed on a vehicle is indicated by the corresponding PR number "A and B" on the vehicle data plate.
When performing repair work on the brake system, thin ("hairline") scratches are often found on the friction surface of the brake discs. Thin scratches up to 10 mm long are not a technical defect and are not grounds for replacing the brake discs. Brake discs and pads with through scratches on the friction surface are subject to replacement.
