The scheme of selection of adjusting rings when installing the rear bearings of the primary and secondary shafts
Order of execution
1. Measure the distance a from the mating plane of the gearbox housing to the rear end of the outer ring of the input shaft rear bearing.
2. Measure the distance b from the mating plane of the gearbox housing to the rear end of the outer ring of the rear output shaft bearing.
3. Measure the distance c from the mating surface of the cover to the end of the output shaft rear bearing seat.
4. Measure the distance d from the mating plane of the cover to the end face of the input shaft rear bearing seat.
5. To ensure a bearing preload of 0.1 mm, calculate the thickness of the adjusting rings using the formulas:
– for the input shaft bearing: S1 = d – a + T – 0,1,
where T is the gasket thickness, equal to 0.4 mm;
– for the output shaft bearing: S2 = c – b + T – 0,1,
where T is the gasket thickness, equal to 0.4 mm.
6. Select adjusting rings with a thickness equal to S1 and S2. Spare parts are supplied with shims 1.53 thick; 1.58; 1.63 and 1.68 mm for the input shaft rear bearing and 0.15 to 1.40 mm thick at 0.5 mm intervals for the output shaft rear bearing.
