Internal mirror with manual screening

Normal position
  • Move the lever located at the bottom of the mirror forward.

Shielding position
  • Pull the lever located on the bottom side of the mirror back.

Interior mirror with automatic screening

When the ignition is on, the interior mirror automatically dims the light depending on the amount of light falling on it. Therefore, the mirror is not equipped with a manual light dimming lever. When the interior lighting or reverse gear is turned on, the mirror returns to its original position (without light shielding).

Note: The automatic mirror screening function can only be operated reliably when the rear window sunshade is retracted and the light falling on the interior mirror is not obstructed.

Exterior mirrors

The position of the outside mirrors is electrically adjustable.

The position of the outside mirrors is electrically adjustable.

Installation of exterior mirrors
  • The multi-position switch (button) switches to the left outside mirror (l position) or right outside mirror (position R).
  • By pressing the button in the directions indicated by the arrows, adjust the reflective surface of the outside mirrors to ensure sufficient rear visibility.

Folding both mirrors

Turn the button to position A.

The reflective surface of the outside mirrors is heated when the ignition is on, depending on the outside temperature.

It is recommended to fold the exterior mirrors, for example, to save them when parking or in narrow spaces.

Automatic tilting of the front passenger mirror towards the road surface

When switching the electric drive to the front passenger side mirror (position R) and when reverse gear is engaged, the reflective surface of the mirror tilts slightly downwards. This ensures visibility of the curbstone when parking.

The mirror returns to its original position after disengaging reverse gear, when switching the electric drive to the driver's mirror L or switching to neutral position 0.

Memory device for position of exterior mirrors

When programming the driver's seat position in vehicles with a driver's seat position memory, the specified position of the outside mirrors is also automatically programmed.

Carefully
  • Convex and aspherical mirrors increase the viewing sector. However, they reduce the image of objects. Therefore, such mirrors are only conditionally suitable for assessing the distance to vehicles moving behind.
  • When the mirror is displaced as a result of external forces (for example, a blow during maneuvering) perform full electrical folding of the mirrors. Never set the mirrors to their original position by hand, as this may adversely affect their mechanical function.

Note: If the electric drive fails, grab the edge of the mirror with your hand and install it by pressing the tap on the reflective surface.

Automatically screened exterior mirrors

The exterior mirrors are screened automatically together with the interior mirror. When the ignition is on, the mirrors are automatically screened depending on the amount of light falling on them (for example, the light from behind the headlights).

When the interior lighting or reverse gear is turned on, the mirrors return to their original position (without light shielding).

Note: The automatic mirror screening function can only be operated reliably when the rear window sunshade is retracted and when the light falling on the interior mirror is not obstructed.
