Interior mirror with manual shielding
Normal position
- Pull forward the lever located on the underside of the mirror.
Shielding position
- Pull the lever located on the underside of the mirror back.
Internal mirror with automatic shielding
When the ignition is on, the light from the interior mirror is automatically shielded depending on the amount of light falling on it. Therefore, the mirror is not equipped with a manual light shielding lever. When you turn on the interior lighting or reverse gear, the mirror returns to its original position (without light shielding).
Note. The fail-safe function of the automatic mirror shielding is only possible when the rear window sunblind is retracted and when the light stream on the interior mirror is unobstructed.
Exterior mirrors
The exterior mirrors are electrically adjustable.
Installation of exterior mirrors
- multi-position switch (button) switch to the left exterior mirror (position L) or right exterior mirror (R position).
- By pressing the button in the directions indicated by the arrows, adjust the reflective surface of the exterior mirrors so that a sufficient rear view is ensured.
Folding both mirrors
Turn the button to position A.
The reflective surface of the exterior mirrors is heated when the ignition is switched on, depending on the outside temperature.
Folding the exterior mirrors is recommended, for example, to save them when parking or in narrow spaces.
Automatic deflection of the front passenger mirror in the direction of the roadbed
When switching the electric drive to the passenger's side mirror (R position) and the reverse gear is engaged, the reflective surface of the mirror deviates slightly downwards. This ensures the visibility of the curb stone when parking.
The mirror returns to its original position after disengaging reverse gear, when switching the electric drive to the driver's mirror L or shifting to neutral position 0.
External mirror position memory
When programming the driver's seat position on vehicles with a driver's seat position memory, the preset position of the exterior mirrors is also automatically programmed.
Carefully
- Convex and aspherical mirrors increase the field of view. However, they reduce the image of objects. Therefore, such mirrors are only conditionally suitable for estimating the distance to vehicles moving behind.
- When the mirror is displaced as a result of external forces (e.g. impact when maneuvering) full electric folding mirrors. Under no circumstances should the mirrors be reset by hand, as this may adversely affect their mechanical function.
Note. In case of failure of the electric drive, grasp the edge of the mirror with your hand and install it by pressing the tap on the reflective surface.
Automatic shielding exterior mirrors
The exterior mirrors are shielded automatically together with the interior mirror. When the ignition is on, the light of the mirrors is automatically shielded depending on the light flux falling on them (e.g. rear headlights).
When you turn on the interior lighting or reverse gear, the mirrors return to their original position (without light shielding).
Note. The fail-safe function of the automatic screening of the mirrors is only possible when the rear window sunblind is retracted and when the flow of light falling on the interior mirror is not obstructed.
