General information

The Driver Information System (FIS) is the vehicle's information hub.

"FIS" is the information center of your car. This system informs you easily and quickly about the current technical condition of the car. For example, you can find out the number of kilometers until the next technical service for the purpose of performing repair and preventive work and much more. In addition, if the car is equipped accordingly, the driver can receive data from the radio system, telephone, "telematics" and navigation system.

The driver information system is displayed on the display located in the center of the instrument cluster. On vehicles with an automatic transmission, the information is displayed only after the driving range is engaged.

When the ignition is turned on and while driving, the following functions and technical condition of the vehicle systems are continuously monitored. The system notifies of any malfunctions or the need for urgent repair and maintenance work with an audible signal, accompanied by red and yellow light symbols on the display.

Red symbols (priority 1)

When a flashing red symbol appears, three consecutive warning sounds are heard. The symbols indicate danger. Stop, turn off the engine, check the failed system and eliminate the malfunction. This may require qualified assistance.

If several first-priority failures occur at once, the symbols appear sequentially, with each display lasting 2 s. The symbols continue to flash until the fault is eliminated.

Yellow symbols (priority 2)

When one of these symbols appears, one warning signal will sound. The symbol indication is a warning signal. Check the corresponding functional indication as soon as possible.

If several second-priority failures occur at once, the symbols appear sequentially, with each display lasting 2 s. The symbols continue to flash until the fault is eliminated.
