The car has an exceptional body in terms of aerodynamics (for a sedan, the coefficient Сх=0.3, for a station wagon Сх=0.34). This was achieved thanks to the smooth contours of the body, without sharp transitions, the large slope of the windshield and rear windows, as well as the original design of the side windows. The side windows are mounted on the door frames from the outside, flush with the body pillars. This design was the first in the world to be applied on a production car.
Much attention in the development of the body was given to corrosion resistance. The parts most susceptible to corrosion are made of zinc-metal; non-load-bearing parts are made of plastic.
