1. Carry out this work with absolute cleanliness.
2. Place a container under the transmission oil sump.
3. Unscrew the union nut that secures the dipstick tube to the oil sump, slide the tube out, let the liquid drain into the container.
4. Turn off screws, get an oil collector. Remove the gasket.
5. Unscrew the screws, remove the cover, strainer, gasket.
6. Clean the drip tray and strainer with methanol, let dry.
7. Reinstall strainer, cover and pan in reverse order using new gaskets and tighten screws to specification.
8. Insert the dipstick tube, tighten the union nut.
9. Wipe around the top of the dipstick tube, remove the dipstick.
10. Fill the transmission with the correct amount and grade of fluid, using a clean funnel if necessary.
11. Start the engine and, with the handbrake applied, select each gear position. With engine idling and transmission in N (neutral), check the fluid level on the dipstick. If necessary, fill up to the bottom mark.
12. Drive the vehicle for about 10 km, then recheck the fluid level as described in Chapter 2.
