1. At the intervals specified in Section "Maintenance" check the transmission fluid level and final drive differential oil level and top up if necessary.
2. The liquid level must be checked under certain conditions. Transmission must be at normal operating temperature (it can be reached by driving about 10 km at a cold start).
3. Park the vehicle on level ground with the engine idling and the selector lever in N (neutral), remove the dipstick, wipe it off. Insert the dipstick all the way and remove it again, check the fluid level, which should be between the two marks.
4. If refueling is necessary, turn off the engine, add fluid through the dipstick tube. Try not to spill the liquid; the difference between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick is 0.4 liters.
5. The final drive differential oil level is checked through the fill plug located on the rear of the driveshaft flange on the left side of the transmission. The easiest access is from under the car.
6. Unscrew the filler plug, the level should be up to the filler plug hole.
7. If refueling is necessary, add oil through the filler hole, install the plug.
8. At the intervals specified in Section "Maintenance" change the transmission fluid using the procedures described in Chapter 3. However, it is not necessary to drain and refill the final drive differential oil as part of a normal service procedure.
