A solution of water and anti-corrosion concentrate, which also prevents freezing, designed for use at any time of year, is poured into the cooling system. Only an anti-corrosion concentrate with antifreeze approved for a given engine should be used. Other concentrates may worsen the properties of the coolant, especially the anti-corrosion properties. The resulting damage may cause leaks in the cooling system and lead to serious engine malfunctions. Antifreeze and anti-corrosion concentrate prevent damage from freezing, corrosion and limescale deposits. In addition, they absorb the boiling point. Therefore, an anti-corrosion concentrate preventing freezing and corrosion must be used in the cooling system all year round. Especially in countries with a tropical climate, with high engine loads, a coolant with a high boiling point reliably protects the engine during operation. The freezing point of the coolant must be at least -25°C (in countries with an arctic climate, at least -35°C). It is also prohibited to reduce the proportion of concentrate in the coolant in the warm season or when operating in countries with a warm climate by adding water to the cooling system. The proportion of concentrate must be at least 40%. If the freezing temperature must be lowered due to climatic conditions, the proportion of anti-corrosion concentrate with antifreeze can be increased, but not more than to 60°C (the freezing temperature in this case will be about -40°C). If this limit is exceeded, the freezing temperature will increase again, and, in addition, the heat capacity of the coolant will decrease. Use only clean drinking water to mix the coolant. Do not use drained coolant in the following cases: after replacing the heater heat exchanger radiator, cylinder head, cylinder head gasket or cylinder block. If the coolant is contaminated. To check the concentrate in the cooling system, use the refractometer "T10007".

Remove the compressed air hose. Open tap "A". Due to the vacuum, the coolant coming out of the tank of the cooling system filling device "VAS 6096" fills the system. Remove the coolant filling device "VAS 6096" from the coolant expansion tank. Fill with coolant up to the "max" mark. Start the engine and let it run at 1500 rpm for no more than 2 minutes. With the engine running, fill the expansion tank with coolant up to the edge of the filler hole. On vehicles with independent heating, switch on the heater for approx. 30 seconds. Start the engine and let it run at 1500 rpm for no more than 2 minutes. With the engine running, fill the expansion tank with coolant up to the edge of the filler hole.

Close the "arrow" cap for the coolant expansion tank. Let the engine idle until the 2 large coolant hoses on the radiator are hot. Turn off and let the engine cool. Install the soundproofing screen. Check the coolant level.
