Warning: If the oil level in the main gear is checked and it is found that there is too much or too little oil, the oil must be changed together with the planetary gear. The cause must be determined and corrected at an AUDI service station.

Control

1. Place the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface.

1. Place the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface.

2. Remove the speedometer drive from the gearbox and wipe it with a rag.

3. Screw the drive in and out again and check the oil level on the drive. The oil level should be between the MIN and MAX marks.

4. Add oil if necessary. The oil volume between the MIN and MAX marks is 0.1 l, so do not add too much oil. Excess oil should be pumped out, for example, with a syringe to which a plastic hose is attached.

5. Screw the speedometer drive into the transmission.

6. Attach a sticker to the inside of the hood indicating the new final drive oil check date.
