Fuel filter
- 1 clamp
- 2 fuel hose from the gas tank
- 3 o-ring
- 4 control valve with fuel hoses
- 5 clamp
- 6 fuel hose to high pressure fuel pump
- 7 fuel filter
To carry out the work you will need:
- Diesel engine fuel filter.
- Control valve seals.
An appropriate container is required to collect water inclusions.
Warning: Escaping diesel fuel must be removed immediately with a rag, especially from rubber parts (coolant hoses), which would otherwise be corrupted.
Warning: Never dispose of used oil or dispose of it with household waste. Local authorities should inform about the location of waste oil collection points.
Withdrawal
1. Clean the fuel hoses -2- and -6- from the outside. Cut the clamps with side cutters and remove the hoses from the filter.
2. Remove clip -5- from the side.
3. Lift up the adjusting valve -4- with the fuel hoses connected to it.
4. Loosen the clamp fastening screw -1- on the holder and remove the filter -7- from the holder.
5. Fill the new filter with clean diesel fuel. Thus, the engine will start faster.
6. Insert the filter into the holder and tighten the clamp with the screw -1-.
7. Replace O-ring -3-, moistening it lightly with diesel fuel before installing.
8. Insert the control valve and secure with clip -5-.
9. Fit fuel hoses -2- and -6- and secure with clamps.
Warning: Do not confuse input and output when doing this. The arrow on the fuel filter points in the direction of the fuel entering the filter.
10. Start the engine. The air from the fuel system comes out on its own after starting the engine. After repeatedly pressing the gas pedal, the fuel should flow through the transparent hose to the high pressure fuel pump without air bubbles.
11. Visually check the fuel system for leaks, in particular at the fuel filter connections.
