Fuel filter
- 1 clamp
- 2 fuel hose from the gas tank
- 3 sealing ring
- 4 regulating valve with fuel hoses
- 5 clamp
- 6 fuel hose to high pressure fuel pump
- 7 fuel filter
To carry out the work you will need:
- Diesel engine fuel filter.
- O-rings for the control valve.
To collect water inclusions, an appropriate container is required.
Warning: Any leaking diesel fuel must be removed immediately with a rag, especially from rubber parts (coolant hoses), which would otherwise be damaged.
Warning: Never throw away used oil or dispose of it with household waste. Local authorities should provide information on the location of used oil collection points.
Removal
1. Clean the outside of fuel hoses "2" and "6". Cut the clamps with side cutters and remove the hoses from the filter.
2. Remove the clamp –5– from the side.
3. Remove the regulating valve –4– with the fuel hoses attached to it upwards.
4. Loosen the clamp fastening screw –1– on the holder and remove the filter –7– from the holder.
5. Fill the new filter with clean diesel fuel. This will help the engine start faster.
6. Insert the filter into the holder and tighten the clamp with screw –1–.
7. Replace the sealing ring –3– by moistening it slightly with diesel fuel before installation.
8. Insert the adjustment valve and secure with clamp –5–.
9. Put on fuel hoses "2" and –6– and secure them with clamps.
Warning: Do not confuse the inlet and outlet. The arrow on the fuel filter points in the direction of the fuel inlet to the filter.
10. Start the engine. Air from the fuel system comes out on its own after the engine starts. After pressing the gas pedal several times, fuel should flow through the transparent hose to the high-pressure fuel pump without air bubbles.
11. Visually check the fuel system for leaks, particularly at the fuel filter connection points.
