A device for straightening deformed car bodies when working together with an installation designed for body inspection and repair
The operating principle differs in that the lever can deviate from the vertical position by an angle of ±45° and the rotary beam (3) can move by the same angle in the horizontal plane in relation to the main beam (5).
Using clamping devices (4), the device can be secured at any point to the lower shelves of the transverse or longitudinal beams of the installation frame.
1 Power lever
2 Hydraulic cylinder
3 Rotary beam
4 Clamping device
5 Beam
6, 7, 8, 9, 11 Clamping parts
10, 13 Wheels
12 Hydraulic pump
14 Earring
The straightening of emergency bodies on the installation described earlier using the device is carried out in the following sequence:
Install the emergency body on the installation, fix its undamaged part in the support brackets and additionally secure it to the sill stiffeners.
Determine the work area and the direction of application of tensile forces, roll the device under the installation.
Secure the device to the frame of the installation with wedges (6) of the clamping devices, consisting of parts (6...9 and 11).
Install and secure the power lever (1) and the rotary beam (3) in the required position with a stopper.
Connect the lever (1) to the deformed body parts using a set of chains, clamps and gripping devices.
Perform the working stroke of the lever (1) using a hydraulic device.
