- The catalyst is protected by additional heat-resistant plates, which cannot be removed or reduced in number. You can't attach anything to them either.
- Due to the high temperature of the device, especially after driving on difficult roads, do not park the car in places where it may come into contact with flammable materials.
- Severe overheating can damage the catalyst, therefore:
- With a hot catalyst, it is not allowed to tow the car for a long time in order to start the engine.
- Do not turn off the ignition until the car moves into any of the gears.
- If a malfunction is detected in the ignition system while driving (noticeable by the operation of the engine) - slow down immediately and contact the nearest service station for assistance.
In all of the above options for operating a car, unburned fuel can enter the catalyst, ignite there and thus disable the catalyst.
