Left: To change the hood cable, loosen the Phillips head screws (1). The cable (3) can only be purchased complete with the handle and main board (2).

Right: The bonnet release cable (4) acts on the spring lock retainer (3). At its end, the cable is secured with a threaded nipple (1). The sleeve (2) guides the cable in the release lever. The lock is shown here with the upper crossmember of the engine compartment removed.

Loosen the rubber gasket fastening along the lower edge of the wing from the inside at the rear, pull the gasket forward a little and remove it.

There are 2 Phillips or Star head screws under the gasket. Remove.

Remove the screw below the bumper cutout.

At the rear of the wheel arch, remove the so-called rear edge of the wing mount - the covering in the direction of the door hinge.

However, underneath it you first need to unscrew the screw.

Open the front door: unscrew the bolt above the hinges.

Remove the hex bolts along the top edge of the wing; before doing this, remove the foam pad.

Remove the wing.

Installing the wing

Remove any remaining sealing tape along the rear edge of the wing mount.

Stick on a new sealing cord (part number AKD497 010 04R10) diameter 7 mm.

Install the wing.

Set the distance to the hood with the upper edge of the wing fastening bolts loose. It should be 4-5 mm.
