Gear Shift Lever Assembly (Audi 100 C3)

Execution order



1. Lubricate all rubbing surfaces with Litol-24 grease.

2. Insert into rubber collar 19 (see fig. Gear shift control mechanism (Type I)) inserts 18.

3. Press the lower hemisphere 17 together with the spring 12 and the upper hemisphere 7 into the rubber collar 19.

4. Insert the narrowed part of the rubber collar 19 into the support 21.

5. Perform a similar subassembly for the type II mechanism.

6. Install support cover 16.

7. Install bracket 15 on support 21 according to previously made marks and tighten mounting bolts 14.

8. Install spring 4 and washer 3 and secure it with retaining ring 2.

9. Screw on the handle 1 of the gear shift lever.

10. On the type II mechanism, install the rubber collar 7 (see Fig. Gear Shift Lever (Type II)) assembled with the hinge into the housing 5, then install the metal ring 11 and the rubber support 27.

11. Before installing the gearbox, it is necessary to adjust the length of the rod 32 (see Fig. Gear shift control mechanism (Type I)) or rod 2 (see fig. Gear Shift Control Mechanism (Type II)).

12. Remove rod 32 (see Fig. Gear shift control mechanism (Type I)) from ball joints 30 and 33.

Adjust the length of rod 32 (b = 134 mm) using nut 31.

13. Install rod 32 on ball joints 30 and 33.
