Order of execution
1. Loosen nut 14 (see pic. Traction of the gearshift mechanism (type II)) terminal connection of the front and rear shift control rods.
2. Remove lever handle 8 (see fig. (Shift control mechanism (type I)) and cover 7.
3. Place the shift lever vertically on the 3rd and 4th gear lines.
4. Tighten the terminal connection with bolt 12 (see pic. Traction of the gearshift mechanism (type II)) and nut 14, while the lever 2 of the gear selector must be in the neutral position.
5. Engage 1st gear.
6. Press the gear lever to the left as far as it will go.
7. Release the lever. It should return 5–10 mm.
8. Engage 5th gear.
9. Push the gear lever to the right as far as it will go.
10. Release the lever. It should return 5–10 mm.
11. If the movement of the lever does not fit into the specified ranges, it is necessary to carry out an adjustment. This can be achieved by moving the bracket 23 (see pic. gear lever (type II)) right or left.
12. Check the clarity of the shifting of all gears.
