Mounting position of gear shift mechanism: 1 - thrust bar, 2 - shift bar (front end), 3 - gear lever. Arrow A: movement to select a gear, arrow B: movement to select a gear.
1. Turn on neutral (turn off the transmission).
2. Remove the ball head together with the shift lever cover, as well as the center console cover.
3. Remove the cover of the middle console upwards (arrow).

8. Measure the distance a between the two studs. The measurement should be taken from the center of one stud to the center of the other. The nominal value is 85 mm.
9. If the nominal value is not achieved, then the required distance a is set as follows: Loosen the screw (arrow) thrust bar. Rear stop bar (in the gear change mechanism) should be easy to move on the sliding part back and forth. By shifting the rod, adjust the distance a, then tighten the screw with a torque of 25 Nm.

10. Then loosen the shift bar screw. The connection between the shift bar and the shift mechanism must be easy to move.

11. Now center the gearshift lever at the bottom, it should be located in the center of the ball bearing. Distances between ball joint and lever (arrows) should be the same in all places. The lever should be vertical, secure it in this position.

12. Tighten the screw securing the gearshift bar to a torque of 25 Nm. When tightening, the position of the shift bar should remain the same.
13. After installing the covers and the ball head of the lever, check the correct installation. In the neutral position, the lever should be in the branch for 3rd and 4th gear. With the clutch pedal depressed, all gears should shift easily. Pay special attention to the reverse lock. The shift lever must independently return from the branch for the 5th gear to the branch for the 3rd and 4th gears. When shifting, the lever must not hit the center console cover.
