Manufacturer's specification
The oil to be filled must meet the manufacturer's requirements: it is permitted to use synthetic transmission oil G 052 944 SAE 75 W-90. A complete oil change is only performed after repairs.
1. When checking the oil level, the car must be absolutely horizontal. A pit or a 4-post lift is best suited for this. The oil filler plug is usually located on the gearbox on the left, under the speedometer sensor. The plug may be covered by a heat shield for the driveshaft.
Unscrewing the oil filler plug
2. Unscrew the oil filler plug from the crankcase. If some oil immediately flows out, the oil level is OK. To be sure, you can bend a piece of wire at a right angle and use it to check the oil level from the bottom edge of the hole. In most gearboxes, the oil level should be located 7 mm from the hole.
3. Filling up to the lower edge of the hole is also allowed.
Transmission oil level: After unscrewing the oil filler plug 1, the oil 3 should be at the lower edge of the 2 hole
4. If the oil level is correct, screw in and tighten the plug.
