Manufacturer specification
The oil to be filled must comply with the manufacturer's requirements: it is allowed to use synthetic gear oil G 052 944 SAE 75 W-90. A complete oil change is made only after repair.
1. When checking the oil level, the vehicle must be absolutely horizontal. An assembly ditch or a 4-leg hoist is best suited for this. The oil filler plug is usually located on the left side of the gearbox, under the speedometer gauge. The plug can be closed with a heat shield for the cardan shaft.
Removing the oil filler plug
2. Remove the oil fill plug from the crankcase. If some oil comes out immediately, the oil level is OK. To be sure, you can bend a piece of wire at a right angle and use it to check the oil level from the bottom edge of the hole. In most transmissions, the oil level should be 7 mm from the hole.
3. Filling up to the bottom edge of the hole is also allowed.
Transmission oil level: After removing oil filler plug 1, oil 3 should be at the lower edge of hole 2
4. If the oil level is OK, screw in and tighten the plug.
