1. Engage the clutch.
2. Shift all gears and check for ease of movement.
Warning: The lever must not touch the center console cover when shifting.
3. Check if the lever returns on its own from the 5th gear/reverse track to the 3/4 gear track.
4. Check whether reverse gear is engaged only when the lever is first in neutral position in the 3/4 gear track.
Caution: Direct shifting to reverse should not be performed from the 5th gear position of the lever.
5. If such shifting is possible, or if only 5th gear and reverse gear do not engage, check the lock for 5th gear and reverse gear (work of the service station).
