Start the engine. Press the clutch pedal. Switch on all gears several times in turn. Engage reverse gear lock (move the gearshift lever down) and place the gearshift lever all the way to the left on the reverse gear track. Move the gearshift lever forward to the reverse gear position. In this case, it is prohibited to apply lateral force to the lever to the right or left. Check whether reverse gear is actually engaged and not 1st gear. If 1st gear is engaged instead of reverse gear, the shift lever is too far to the left. Correct the adjustment. Disengage reverse gear. Engage 2nd gear, applying increased force to the left side to the gear shift lever. If the lever jams when engaging 2nd gear, it means that it is too far to the right. Correct the adjustment. Reverse gear should only be engaged after the reverse lock has been disengaged. The shift lever should be automatic. return from the reverse gear slot to the 3rd/4th gear slot. If the lever catches when you re-engage the gear, repeat the adjustment of the gear shift mechanism. Install the soundproofing casing. Install the gearshift lever handle together with the trim.
