Execution order
1. Drain the oil from the gearbox housing if this has not been done previously.
2. Unscrew the reverse light switch.
3. Knock out plug 27 from the gearbox cover using a suitable tool.
4. Secure primary shaft 46 from turning using the splines and unscrew bolt 26 from the opposite end of the primary shaft.
5. Loosen bolts 28 and remove cover 24 of the gearbox, pressing the rear bearing off the input shaft.
6. Knock out spring pin 31 from link 32 of the 1st and 2nd gear shift rod, placing a support under the rod so as not to damage the hole in the crankcase.
7. Move back the 35 fork shift rod for 3rd and 4th gears, thereby engaging 3rd gear.
8. Turn gear selector 30 to the left, removing it from the groove of the 3rd and 4th gear rod, and remove it from the gearbox housing.
9. Remove the leash 32 from the rod 41 of the 1st and 2nd gear forks.
10. Knock out spring pin 19 from the 5th gear engagement fork, placing a support under the rod so as not to damage the hole in the crankcase.
11. Press the second inner ring of the rear bearing off the primary shaft.
12. Press hub 22 with the toothed ring from the primary shaft.
13. Remove two rows of needle bearing 17 with inner ring 16 and thrust washer 15.
14. Block the secondary shaft from turning by engaging one of the gears and securing the primary shaft from turning.
15. Unscrew nut 33 from the end of the secondary shaft.
16. Press gear 34 of 5th gear off the secondary shaft.
17. Set all gear shift fork rods to neutral position.
18. Loosen the mounting bolts and disconnect the 12 gearbox housing together with the primary and secondary shafts from the clutch housing.
19. Clamp the gearbox housing by the lug in a vice with soft metal pads.
20. Knock out spring pin 44 from the 3rd and 4th gear shift fork, placing a support under the rod so as not to damage the hole in the crankcase.
21. Move the 3rd and 4th gear shift fork rod back and remove the shift fork.
22. Remove secondary shaft 39 from the gearbox housing as far as possible and remove primary shaft 46 from the housing.
23. Set the 3rd and 4th gear shift rod to neutral position.
24. Press out axle 36 of the reverse intermediate gear, removing gear 45 in the process.
25. Remove secondary shaft 39 simultaneously with rod 41 and fork 42 for switching 1st and 2nd gears from gearbox housing 12.
26. Unscrew the speedometer drive gear.
27. Unscrew bolt 1 securing flange 2 of the axle shaft, securing the flange through the holes for the mounting bolts using a rod or punch.
28. Loosen bolts 3 securing differential cover 4.
29. Remove differential cover 4 with sealing ring using two screwdrivers.
30. Remove differential 5 assembly from the clutch housing.
