Order of execution
1. Drain the oil from the gearbox housing, if this has not already been done.
2. Unscrew the reverse light switch.
3. Knock out plug 27 from the gearbox cover using a suitable tool.
4. Fix the input shaft 46 from rotation by the splines and unscrew the bolt 26 from the opposite end of the input shaft.
5. Unscrew the fastening bolts 28 and remove the cover 24 of the gearbox, while pressing the rear bearing off the input shaft.
6. Knock out the spring pin 31 from the leash 32 of the 1st and 2nd shift rod, substituting a support under the rod so as not to damage the hole in the crankcase.
7. Move back the shift rod 35 of the fork of the 3rd and 4th gears, thereby engaging the 3rd gear.
8. Turn the gear selector 30 to the left, moving the 3rd and 4th gears out of the groove, and remove it from the gearbox housing.
9. Remove the leash 32 from the stem 41 of the 1st and 2nd gear forks.
10. Knock out the spring pin 19 from the 5th gear fork, substituting a support under the rod so as not to damage the hole in the crankcase.
11. Press the second rear bearing inner race off the input shaft.
12. Press the hub 22 with the ring gear off the input shaft.
13. Remove two rows of needle bearing 17 with inner race 16 and thrust washer 15.
14. To block the output shaft from rotation, to do this, turn on one of the gears and fix the input shaft from rotation.
15. Unscrew nut 33 from the end of the output shaft.
16. Press gear 34 for 5th gear off pinion shaft.
17. Set all shift fork rods to neutral position.
18. Loosen the mounting bolts and disconnect the gearbox housing 12 together with the primary and secondary shafts from the clutch housing.
19. Clamp the gearbox housing by the lug in a soft metal vise.
20. Knock out the spring pin 44 from the 3rd and 4th shift fork, substituting a support under the rod so as not to damage the hole in the crankcase.
21. Push the 3rd and 4th shift fork stem back and remove the shift fork.
22. Drive the output shaft 39 out of the gearbox housing as far as possible and remove the input shaft 46 from the housing.
23. Set the 3rd and 4th shift rod to the neutral position.
24. Press out the shaft 36 of the intermediate reverse gear, while removing the gear 45.
25. Pull out the secondary shaft 39 simultaneously with the rod 41 and the fork 42 for switching 1st and 2nd gears from the gearbox housing 12.
26. Unscrew the speedometer drive gear.
27. Unscrew the bolt 1 of the flange 2 of the axle shaft, fixing the flange through the holes for the mounting bolts with a bar or barb.
28. Unscrew bolts 3 securing differential cover 4.
29. Remove differential cover 4 with O-ring using two screwdrivers.
30. Remove differential 5 assembly from clutch housing.
