Gearbox/ final drive (Audi A6 C5)

When performing maintenance at certain intervals, the following should be checked.

Drive shafts: Check the constant velocity joint protective boots for leaks and damage.
Manual transmission, automatic transmission, final drive on all-wheel drive vehicles: visual inspection for leaks.
Manual transmission: check the oil level and top it up if necessary.
Automatic transmission: check the oil level in the final drive and top it up if necessary.
