On a vehicle that has not been driven, with the engine off, set the front wheels to move straight ahead.
Unscrew the cap from the power steering reservoir (see fig. 1.35). Wipe the dipstick located at the bottom of the cover with a clean cloth.

Screw the cap on and off again.
Check the fluid level, which should be near the MIN mark (see fig. 1.36). The permissible deviation of the liquid level on the dipstick from the MIN mark is±2 mm.

If necessary, add fresh fluid.
Do not allow the power steering fluid reservoir to become empty.
Screw the cap onto the power steering reservoir.
Perform a test drive, during which the power steering fluid warms up to a temperature of approximately 50°C. Check the fluid level, which should be between the MIN and MAX marks.
