3. Remove the decorative trim and disconnect from it the block with the wires of the horn switch.
4. Mark the relative position of the steering wheel and steering column shaft.
5. Loosen the steering wheel nut until its end is flush with the end of the steering column shaft.
6. Swinging by the spokes, pull the steering wheel towards you with force so that it comes off the splines of the steering shaft. Loosen the nut completely and remove the washer and steering wheel.
Installation
1. Before installing, check that the front wheels are in the straight-ahead driving position and the direction indicator switch lever is in the neutral position. In this case, the turn signal off lever should be directed to the left side.
2. Install the steering wheel on the shaft in accordance with the previously made mark.
3. Install the washer and tighten the fastening nut to a torque of 40 Nm (4.0 kgf·m).
4. Insert the carbon contact with the wire into the steering wheel hub.
5. Connect the block with the wire to the decorative trim and install the trim on the steering wheel.
6. Check the distance from the steering wheel cover to the steering column switch cover, which should be 3 mm. If this distance differs from the specified, loosen the fastening of the steering column switches through the hole located at the bottom of the steering column switch housing. Set the required distance and secure the steering column switches.
7. Do a test drive. When driving in a straight line, the steering wheel spokes must be horizontal. Otherwise, remove the steering wheel and install it again.
