Removal
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Set the front wheels to the position where the vehicle is moving straight ahead.
3. Remove the decorative trim and disconnect the connector with the horn switch wires from it.
4. Mark the relative positions of the steering wheel and steering column shaft.
5. Loosen the steering wheel mounting nut until its end is flush with the end of the steering column shaft.
6. While wiggling the spokes, pull the steering wheel towards you with force so that it comes off the splines of the steering shaft. Unscrew the nut completely and remove the washer and steering wheel.
Installation
1. Before installation, check that the front wheels are in the straight-ahead position and the turn signal switch lever is in the neutral position. The turn signal switch lever should be pointed to the left.
2. Install the steering wheel on the shaft in accordance with the previously made mark.
3. Install the washer and tighten the fastening nut to a torque of 40 N·m (4.0 kgf·m).
4. Insert the carbon contact with the wire into the steering wheel hub.
5. Connect the connector with the wire to the decorative trim and install the trim on the steering wheel.

6. Check the distance from the steering wheel casing to the steering column switch casing, which should be 3 mm. If this distance differs from the specified one, loosen the steering column switch casing through the hole located at the bottom of the steering column switch casing. Set the required distance and secure the steering column switches.
7. Test drive. When driving the car straight ahead, the steering wheel spokes should be horizontal. If not, remove the steering wheel and reinstall it.
