Replacing the parking brake cable (models with rear drum brakes)
1. Install support blocks under the front wheels.
2. Loosen the rear wheel bolts.
3. Raise and support the rear of the vehicle.
4. Remove wheel.
5. Remove the rear brake shoe and disconnect the cable end from the drive arm (see fig. Rear wheel drum brake).
6. Loosen the adjusting nut and disconnect the cable from the equalizer.
7. Disconnect the holder from the trailing arm and remove the cable by removing the seal from the trailing arm.
8. Install new cable in reverse order.
9. After installation, adjust the parking brake.
