Parking brake (Audi 80 B3)

The parking brake system is activated by lifting the lever handle upwards. When parking on downhill slopes, additionally engage 1st gear. Always tighten the parking brake lever all the way to avoid accidentally leaving it engaged while driving.



When the parking brake lever is applied and the ignition is on, the indicator lamp on the instrument panel lights up.

To release the parking brake, lift the lever slightly upwards, press the lock button (indicated by the arrow) and lower the lever down until it stops.
