Examination
To check the functionality of the pressure regulator, press and quickly release the brake pedal (the car must be on its wheels). At this time, the assistant should monitor the pressure regulator (2). If the regulator lever (1) does not move, the regulator is faulty and must be replaced (3 – spring; 4 – nut; 5 – roller).
Adjustment
1. If necessary, add fluid or bleed the brake system.
2. Raise and support the rear of the vehicle so that the rear suspension is completely unloaded.
3. Move the lever towards the rear of the vehicle until it stops and loosen the spring mounting nut.
4. Install the roller so that the spring is not stretched and at the same time does not sag. Then tighten the nut to a torque of 25 N·m (2.5 kgf·m).
