1. At intervals given in Section «Maintenance» at the beginning of this manual, perform the following work on the components of the brake system.
2. Check the brake fluid level and, if necessary, top up to the MAX mark on the master cylinder reservoir (photo). If frequent refueling is required, look for a fluid leak somewhere in the system that should be checked and repaired.
3. Check the front brake pads and rear brake pads or brake shoe gaskets, inspect the condition of the discs and drums. See Chapters for more details 3, 10 And 7 respectively.
4. Check the condition of the hydraulic pipes and hoses. At the same time, check the condition of the handbrake cables, lubricate exposed cables and links, and, if necessary, adjust the handbrake as described in Chapter 19.
5. Change the brake fluid at the intervals indicated by draining and refilling as described in Chapter 17.
