2. Wipe the area around the discharge pipe connection on the side of the accumulator housing (photo). Loosen the union nut, remove the pipe and plug the end to prevent loss of hydraulic oil.
3. Unscrew the shock absorber hose at the connection under the power steering pump. Plug both ends of the hose.
4. Loosen the clamp, separate the return hose at the connection at the end of the battery. Plug the end of the hose.
5. Unscrew the two nuts securing the rear mounting bracket to the body, loosen the nut securing the front mount to the suspension. Remove the battery from the mount, remove it from the engine compartment (photo).
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, bleed the power steering system.
