Vacuum servo — removal and installation (Audi 100 C3)

1. Remove the master cylinder as described in Chapter 14.

2. Remove some trim from the interior to gain access to the pedal connections.

3. Disconnect the servo motor pusher from the brake pedal, note which of the two holes in the pusher contains the pin with a head and a hole for the cotter pin.

4. From inside the engine compartment, disconnect the non-check valve and vacuum hose from the servo motor housing.

5. Unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the servomotor unit from the bulkhead in the engine compartment.

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Tighten the mounting nuts to the tightening torque specified in the Specifications, install the master cylinder as described in Chapter 14.
