Regular maintenance operations



Check the operation of the parking lights, reversing lights, brake lights, front and rear fog lights, direction indicators, hazard warning lights and horn.

Check the operation of the windshield wiper and washer. If necessary, add washing fluid to the washer reservoir.

Check the engine for signs of oil leakage.

Check the coolant level. Top up if necessary. Check the condition of the coolant hoses.

Check the engine oil level.

Check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir.

Check the brakes.

Check the tire pressure. After a certain mileage, check the tire profile depth.

Every 12 months or every 15,000 km



Change engine oil and oil filter.

Check the thickness of the disc brake linings.

Check the front brakes.

Check every 12 months



Read the diagnostic device memory readings.

Check the electrolyte level in the battery and top up with electrolyte if necessary.

Clean and lubricate the terminals (contacts) of the battery.

Check the coolant density with a hydrometer. Add antifreeze if necessary. Check the condition of the coolant hoses.

Check the oil level in the manual transmission; for Quattro models, check the oil level in the rear axle. Check the condition of the drive belts.

Check the steering seals for leaks and damage.

Check the brake system for leaks and damage, or corrosion of brake pipes and cracking of brake hoses. This also includes checking the rear brake pads and checking the condition of the brake discs.



Check the exhaust system for leaks or visible damage.

Check the steering rod ball joints for excessive play and the condition of the dust caps.

Check the condition of the front suspension joints and the condition of the drive shaft seals (quattro - front and rear).

Check the wheel bolts (nuts) for compliance with the required tightening torque and the condition of the tires. Be sure to check the tire profile depth (not less than 1.6 mm), tire wear at the edges.

Check the fluid level in the power steering pump reservoir and top up if necessary.

Check the operation of the parking brake.

Check the headlight adjustment.

Check for play in the steering.

Check the operation of all indicators and control lamps.

Check the ease of operation of all rods, levers, locks, etc. and lubricate them.

Reset the indicator for reaching the required maintenance interval (mileage).

Take a test drive and check the efficiency of the parking and service brakes, steering, engine and other important units.

Turn on all lighting devices one by one and check their operation. Replace burnt-out lamps.

Every 24 months or every 30,000 km



Carry out all the above mentioned works and checks and additionally the following:

Check the exhaust emission control system.

Check the play of the front and rear wheel bearings.

Replace brake fluid.

Adhere to the specified frequency.

Replace the dust filter.

Check the oil level in the main gear of the automatic transmission yourself or in a workshop.

Check the fluid level in the automatic transmission.



Check every 60,000 km



Carry out the work required every 12 months and additionally the following:

Replace spark plugs at least once every 3 years.

Stick to this interval.

Replace the air filter element.

Replace the fluid in the automatic transmission. At least once every 4 years.

Check the power steering for leaks.

Check the operation of the power steering.

Check all fuel lines for corrosion.

Check every 120,000 km



Perform all work required every 12 months and one additional operation.

Replace all drive belts.
