Launch conditions
The battery is charged, the fuel tank is full, and the engine is filled with oil and coolant.
If the fuel system was disassembled, in order for the fuel to reach the carburetor, it is necessary to crank the engine with a starter
After starting the engine, odors and smoke from burning out the lubricant are possible. Inspect the engine for water or oil leaks and the connection between the exhaust pipe and the manifold. Tighten screws if necessary.
After reaching normal operating temperature, adjust the idle speed and check the ignition timing.
After stopping the engine, tighten the cylinder head bolts.
After a test drive, check that the ignition adjustment is correct. When installing new bearings and pistons, it is necessary to drive the first 300 km at a reduced speed without overloading the engine.
Special attention should be paid to checking the fluid level in the box on models with automatic transmission.
