Launch conditions
The battery is charged, the fuel tank is full, the engine is filled with oil and coolant.
If the fuel system has been disassembled, in order for the fuel to reach the carburetor, it is necessary to turn the engine with the starter
After starting the engine, there may be odors and smoke from burning lubricant. Inspect the engine for water or oil leaks and the junction of the exhaust pipe with the manifold. Tighten the bolts if necessary.
After reaching normal operating temperature, adjust idle speed and check ignition timing.
After stopping the engine, tighten the cylinder head bolts.
After a test drive, check the ignition adjustment. When installing new bearings and pistons, it is necessary to drive at a reduced speed for the first 300 km, without overloading the engine.
Particular attention should be paid to checking the fluid level in the box on models with an automatic transmission.
