- exterior lighting and direction indicators;
- brake system;
- fuel reserve;
- correct installation of rear-view mirrors, cleanliness of headlights, lighting devices, windows.
You should also check regularly:
- tire condition and air pressure;
- engine oil level;
- coolant level;
- brake fluid level;
- presence of water in the windshield washer reservoir;
- condition of windshield wipers.
It is necessary to strictly adhere to the technical inspection and maintenance schedules of the car, especially strictly monitor the timely replacement of brake fluid.
Traffic safety largely depends on the driver himself and his driving style:
- before you start driving, including within the city limits, fasten your seat belts.
- make sure that passengers in the back seats also fasten their seat belts.
- adjust the height of the headrests according to your height. The top edge of the headrests should be approximately at eye level.
- check that there are no foreign objects under the pedals.
- properly distribute the luggage you are transporting, including on the area behind the back of the rear seat and on the additional luggage rack on the roof of the vehicle.
- don't get behind the wheel of a car when you're tired. Stop for a rest every 2 hours of driving.
- never drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
- choose your driving speed taking into account actual road conditions, including weather and road surface conditions.
It should always be remembered that on a slippery road, the stability of the car largely depends on the degree of adhesion of the wheels to the road. In wet weather, when driving at high speed, the front wheels can come off the road, as a result of which the car becomes uncontrollable.
