Remove the V-belt.
From the rear of the generator, disconnect the plug and remove the wire from the terminal.
Loosen the generator mounting bolts and, holding the generator, pull them out, then remove the generator.
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Insert the V-belt into the pulley groove and adjust the belt tension.
Preliminary check of the generator
Under normal conditions, the charge indicator lamp should go out. If this is not the case, then it is possible that the generator or voltage regulator is faulty. First of all, check the connections on the generator.
Check if the V-belt is tensioned correctly. Further checks should be performed with the generator removed.
