Removal the generator, cars with 2.0 l TFSI engines
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery with the ignition off. To loosen the poly V-belt, turn the tensioner clockwise "arrow" and secure with the lock "T40098".
Remove the poly V-belt. Unscrew the screws at the top and bottom of the "arrow" and tilt the generator forward.
Disconnect the electrical plug connection. Unscrew terminal 30 / B+ "pos. 2". Remove the generator.
Installation
Installation in reverse order: put the poly V-belt on the pulleys in the indicated sequence
1. Vibration damper; 2. Water pump; 3. Tensioner element of the poly V-belt; 4. Generator; 5. Vane pump of the hydraulic steering system; 6. Compressor climate, installations
When installing the poly V-belt, it is necessary to ensure that it is positioned correctly on the pulleys. Connect the battery. Start the engine and check the movement of the poly V-belt.
Removal the generator. Cars with 3.2 nFSI engine
Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition off. Remove the front noise insulation "1".
Unscrew bolt "1" and nut "3". Remove spacer "2" of the radiator frame on the right.
Turn the tensioner to loosen the tension of the poly V-belt in the direction of the arrow.
Remove the poly V-belt from the alternator pulley. Unload the tensioner. Unscrew the "arrow" bolt of the ATF lines.
Disconnect the connector of the oil level and temperature sensor "G266" and release the wiring harness on the generator. Unscrew the bolts "arrows" and remove the generator.
Disconnect the electrical plug connection "1". Unscrew the terminal 30 / B+ "pos. 2". Remove the generator between the ATF lines and the radiator frame downwards.
Installation
Installation in reverse order: secure the ATF lines. Install the radiator frame spacer on the right. Put the poly V-belt on the pulleys in the specified sequence.

When installing a poly V-belt, it is necessary to ensure that it is positioned correctly on the pulleys. Connect the battery. Start the engine and check the belt movement.
