Before performing any work on the charging system, please read the following safety precautions.
Never disconnect the battery or voltage regulator while the engine and generator are running.
Never disconnect the excitation winding terminal or the ground wire located on it.
Never reverse the voltage regulator wires.
Never operate the voltage regulator if it is connected to "ground" (will fail immediately).
Never remove the generator without removing the battery.
When installing the battery, ensure that the negative wire is connected to ground.
Never use a test lamp connected to a high voltage circuit (11V or 22V). Use only a 12V test lamp.
If the battery is charged in the installed form using a charger, then you need to disconnect the two battery wires (when using automatic chargers, follow the instructions in their operating instructions). Do not confuse the polarity of the wires of the devices and the battery when connecting.
Incorrect connection of wires will lead to failure of the rectifier and voltage regulator.
