It is safe to say that the service life of a windshield wiper blade rubber is about 6 months, until the smearing of moisture on the glass or something similar indicates the need to install a new rubber or blade.
Replacing the wiper blade

Remove the wiper blade (1) and purchase a similar one, comparing it with the old one.
Before removing the old rubber, make sure to note exactly how the parts are installed.
Bend the fastening clips around the rubber band at the end of the brush, being careful, until the rubber band can be pulled out. Both strips to be installed (2) must be transferred to the new rubber band.
Slowly push in the new rubber (3), watching the bends. When the rubber is completely seated, squeeze the fastening clamps with pliers.
Replacing the wiper blade
This operation is performed faster, however, a whole brush is more expensive than a rubber band. When buying a new brush, it is necessary to compare it with the old one. It should be remembered that the brushes on the left and right may have different lengths.
Bend the lever away from the glass and place a thick lining on the glass where the blade contacts it in case the lever slips down after removing the blade.
Press down on the small plastic lever at the connection between the blade and the wiper arm and pull the blade out of the arm.
Slide the new brush into the hook of the lever to engage the retainer.
After removing the thick lining, carefully lower the brush onto the glass.
