To remove the locking bracket "2", unlock it with a screwdriver and pull it out to the stop. Remove the hose line from the clutch slave cylinder and plug it. Unscrew bolt "3", remove the clutch slave cylinder "1" back. To avoid contamination of the open lines, close them and the fittings with clean plugs from the plug set for the "VAS 6122" engine.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order, while paying attention to the following: Replace the sealing ring if damaged. If the slave cylinder is tilted during installation, there is a risk that the push rod will miss the clutch release lever. Press down on the clutch slave cylinder "1" until the fastening bolt "3" can be easily installed. Press in the locking bracket "2" until it stops. Insert the pipe/hose line into the clutch slave cylinder until it locks into place audibly. To check, pull on the pipe/hose line. Bleed the clutch. If present, install the rear noise-insulating casing.
