If it is necessary to replace the clutch master/slave cylinder due to a suspected malfunction, you must first check the functionality. If you remove the working cylinder with the connected pipe-hose line from the gearbox, do not press the clutch pedal. Otherwise, the piston will be forced out of the clutch slave cylinder and fail. After installing the slave cylinder, carefully press the clutch pedal. If pressing the clutch pedal requires an unusually large amount of force, remove your foot from the clutch pedal. It is possible that the slave cylinder pusher has moved past the clutch release lever. At a pedal force of approximately 300 Nm, the working cylinder will be destroyed.
