The master cylinder is located on the brake and clutch pedal mounting bracket.

Removal



1. Remove the trim panel.

2. Clamp the hydraulic hose that goes from the reservoir to the cylinder.

3. Disconnect the hydraulic hose and tube from the cylinder.

4. Disconnect the cylinder push rod from the clutch pedal.

5. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the cylinder.

Repair



1. Remove the cover and pusher.

2. Remove the retaining ring from the base of the cylinder and remove the washer, piston and spring.

3. Clean all components and inspect for wear or damage. Replace the cylinder if necessary.

4. Lubricate new seals with hydraulic fluid and install them on the piston.

5. Insert the spring and piston into the cylinder.

6. Install the washer and snap ring.

7. Install the pushrod and boot. Tighten the pushrod fork so that the distance from the center of the hole on the fork to the master cylinder is 109.5±0.5 mm.



Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
