For normal refueling, it is important to use the dispensing gun correctly.
The fuel tank is "full" after the automatic shutdown of the dispensing gun, if it is used correctly. After this, stop refueling, since otherwise the expansion space will be filled, which can lead to fuel spillage when heated.
After refueling, tighten the fuel tank cap tightly until you hear a click.
Warning: Remove any fuel that gets on the paintwork immediately when refuelling. Otherwise, it may damage the paintwork. This applies especially to PME fuel (biodiesel).
Warning: If you carry a spare canister with you, please comply with the relevant regulatory requirements.
Emergency release of the fuel filler flap
If the single lock control fails, the fuel filler flap can be unlocked manually. To do this:
Open the trunk.
Remove the right side trim of the trunk.

To release the filler cap, pull the tensioner (arrow).
Open the filler cap.
