When transporting cargo on the roof of your vehicle, remember the following:

Gutters are made in the roof, taking into account the drainage of storm water. Therefore, you can not use conventional luggage racks designed for installation on the roof of a car. To avoid unnecessary risks, use only original Audi support brackets.

These support brackets are the basis of a complete roof rack. For the transportation of luggage, bicycles, windsurfing boards, skis and boats, additional fastenings are also used for safety reasons.

All components of this system are available at Audi service stations.

If other roof rack mounting systems are used or if the rack is not installed according to the instructions, any damage that occurs as a result of this will not be covered by warranty repairs.

If other roof rack mounting systems are used or if the rack is not installed according to the…

The roof rack support system must be mounted exactly as per the enclosed instructions. Please note that each bracket can only be mounted between the marking lines on the upper trim strip, which is only visible when the door or the pivot window is open.

Roof rack load capacity

The permissible weight of cargo and luggage is 75 kg.

When using mounting systems with a lower load capacity, the permissible load capacity of the luggage rack cannot be fully utilized. The luggage rack should only be loaded to the limit specified in the installation instructions.

Distribute the load evenly. Do not exceed the permissible load on the roof (taking into account the weight of the fastening system itself) and the permissible gross vehicle weight – refer to the Specifications.

When transporting heavy or large objects on the roof of the car, do not forget that the traction and dynamic qualities of the car change due to the shift in the center of gravity and the increase in aerodynamic resistance. When choosing the mode and speed of movement, take these changes into account.

Make sure that the rear hinged door does not hit the load of the roof rack when opening.
