The sliding roof panel can be operated for ten minutes after the ignition is switched off. The switch does not operate unless the driver's door is opened and closed again.
Warning: Be careful when closing the roof panel!
Warning: Inattentive or uncontrolled closing of the panel may result in injury. Therefore, remove the key from the ignition when leaving the vehicle.
Roof panel control

Opening
Turn the switch in the direction indicated by the arrow (A).
It is also possible to set the roof panel to any intermediate position. To do this, turn the switch only to a noticeable point of resistance.
Closing
Turn the switch in the direction indicated by the arrow (B).
Rise
By pressing the switch briefly, the roof panel opens, and by pulling it briefly, it closes. By pressing / pulling the switch longer, the panel can be set to any position.
Warning: The sliding roof panel has overload protection. If it cannot be closed normally, it can be closed by pulling the switch.
Warning: When the glass roof panel is pulled back, the sunshade automatically opens to protect against intense sunlight. When the roof panel is closed, the sunshade can also be closed manually.
It is recommended to close the sun blind when parking the car in the sun.
When the car is parked or in case of sudden rain (with the sun blind closed) don't forget to close the roof lift panel.
Comfortable closing
The sliding roof panel can also be closed when the vehicle is locked from the driver's or front passenger's door:
To do this, hold the key in the lock position or press the button on the remote control transmitter* until the roof panel closes.
Warning: Vehicles with a radio remote control locking system with a single control cannot be opened or closed from the front passenger door.
Emergency closing of the roof panel

If the electric drive fails, the roof panel can be closed manually.
The crank handle included with the tool is used for this purpose - refer to the subsection Tool kit and jack.
Remove the plastic cover downwards (refer to illustration).

Rotate the crank handle (1), inserting it until it stops and pressing the hexagonal end into the internal hexagon (2).
Have the fault repaired at an Audi service station.
