Mobile phones, radios and business devices
Stationary installation
Please note the following when using commercially available mobile phones and radios:
The subsequent installation of electrical / electronic devices is associated with the need for a permit to operate in a vehicle of this model and, under certain circumstances, may lead to the loss of the right to operate them.
It is allowed to install appliances for domestic use and for business purposes (except radio transmitters) provided that they do not affect the direct control of the driver over the car and in the presence of identification letters "CE".
Additional installed devices, the operation of which may affect the driver's control of the car, must have a permit for operation in this car, as well as an identification mark - the letter "e".
Permission is required to install radio transmitters in a vehicle.
The Audi Group authorizes installation under the following conditions:
- technically correct installation of the antenna,
- outdoor antenna installation (using shielded cable and antenna matching without reflection),
- the effective power of the transmitter at the base of the antenna is not more than 10 watts.
Information on the possibility of installing and operating radio transmitters with higher power can be obtained from an Audi workshop.
Mobile radio transmitters
Operation of mobile phones or radios under the following conditions may result in functional malfunctions of the vehicle electronics:
- no external antenna
- improperly installed outdoor antenna
- radiation power more than 10 watts.
Therefore, portable radiotelephones or walkie-talkies must not be used in the cabin without or with an incorrectly installed external antenna.
Warning: The use of mobile phones and walkie-talkies in the cabin without or with an incorrectly installed external antenna is not harmless to health due to the occurrence of high-frequency electromagnetic fields!
Warning: In addition, only an outdoor antenna provides optimal range for the devices.
Warning: Be sure to follow the operating instructions for mobile phones and radios
