- To remove plastic trims and linings, it is recommended to use a plastic wedge, for example, HAZET 1965-20.
- Any clamps damaged during removal of the trim must be replaced.
- Seats, seat belts and airbags are important safety components of the vehicle. As a precaution, only perform the work described here yourself. More complex work should be performed at a service station.
Caution: If any electrical work needs to be carried out as part of the bodywork, it is essential to disconnect the negative battery cable (-). To do this, please read the Section Replacing the battery. Even disconnecting an electrical wire from any terminal should be considered as work with electrical equipment.
Caution: Always observe the safety precautions regarding the airbag, particularly when working on the instrument panel and the center console, refer to Section Removal and installation trims (Universal).
To prevent the airbag from deploying, turn off the ignition before disconnecting the airbag system cables, and then disconnect the negative (-) and then positive (+) battery cables. Also, for safety reasons, insulate the negative battery terminal.
